Roundup Breaking Camp 1905-20

Collotype:  a reproduction manufactured through a photomechanical process.  Collotypes are of such high quality that it is often difficult to discern the difference between a photograph and a collotype without the aid of a magnifying glass. Unlike photographs, which in Huffman's day had to be produced one at a time, collotypes could be produced economically and efficiently in large numbers. A further discussion of collotypes will be found under the "Types of Images" section.
