Hand-coloring: before
the advent of color film in the 1930's, when color was desired, photographers
- or their assistants - tinted images by hand, using both oil-based
pigments and watercolors. While most of Huffman's colored production
was enlarged photos, we know he colored at least a limited number of
every format he used. |
